Meet the Paws at Peace Team
Dr Amy - Veterinarian
Dr Amy Jeffreys is a graduate of the University of Melbourne's prestigious Faculty of Veterinary Science and has worked in a number of veterinary clinics as an Associate Veterinarian during her career. She has always had a great love for animals - pets have played pivotal and important roles throughout her childhood and in her family life. Dr Amy feels privileged to be able to work with and care for animals in need, whilst fulfilling her childhood dream of being a vet.
Throughout her career, Dr Amy has supported pet owners and their beloved animals by providing compassionate end of life care for sick and geriatric pets. She has personally experienced the sad side of pet ownership - as a child she was present when her own much loved cat, Ping, was euthanised at an emergency veterinary clinic after he developed heart failure. This experience left a deep and lasting impression on her and she understands how stressful and traumatic it can be for a pet owner to say their final goodbye to a pet in the clinical setting of a veterinary hospital. Dr Amy started Paws at Peace because she wanted to help her clients and their pets through what can only be described as an extremely difficult time. Paws at Peace provides a calm, pain free and nurturing environment for clients and their pets during their final moments together. |
Angelique - Client Care Coordinator
Angelique is our Paws at Peace Client Care Coordinator. She has a background in Zoology, completing her BSc majoring in zoology at Monash University Clayton. She also completed a Diploma of Animal Technology at Box Hill Institute of TAFE, prior to commencing her BSc degree.
For the past twelve years, Angelique has worked in the aquatics industry across varying roles, including but not limited to coordinator and management positions. She gained knowledge and experience from working with clients hailing from diverse backgrounds. Although she thoroughly enjoyed her time working in the aquatic industry, she felt she needed to return to her passion of animal welfare. Having been through the experience of losing her beloved dogs Bronson and Lillie, Angelique understands the difficult and often painful decision that many owners face when saying goodbye to their pets. She will provide you with the knowledge and comfort that your pets will be in the best possible care with Dr Amy. |
