About Us

Paws at Peace was established in 2017 to provide a genuinely caring, kind and compassionate service to pets and their families at the end of life. We have deliberately remained a small, family-run team because we believe truly personal care comes from being able to give every family the time, attention and support they deserve.

Our Head Vet, Dr Amy, has been with us from the very beginning. She graduated from the University of Melbourne and began her veterinary career working in emergency and general practice clinics. Over time, she developed a particular passion for caring for geriatric and terminally ill patients and supporting their families through the final stages of their lives. She brings extensive end-of-life experience to her work with Paws at Peace and a deep understanding of how important compassionate care is during this time.

A big part of what makes Paws at Peace what it is today is our client care team, Angelique and Matty. Angelique is often the first person you will speak to when you contact us. She understands how difficult it can be to make that first call and is there to listen, answer your questions, talk through your options and gently guide you through what can feel like an overwhelming time. Working closely with Angelique, Matty takes care of the administration and communicates with families throughout the process, helping to make sure everything is organised and nothing is overlooked. Together, they ensure your pet's journey with Paws at Peace runs as smoothly as possible, from your first contact with us through to their aftercare.

Cathy, our Manager / Director, oversees the management and day-to-day running of Paws at Peace. She is responsible for building and supporting our team, including staff recruitment, and works closely with everyone to ensure we continue to provide the high standard of care our families have come to expect. Her focus is on creating a team that genuinely cares about the work we do and making sure that the values Paws at Peace was built on are reflected in everything we do.

Our wider team also includes dedicated team members who help with the return of pets' ashes to their families. Where families choose this option, a member of our team will personally bring their pet's ashes home, ensuring this final part of their journey is handled with the same care, dignity and respect as every other part of our service. We are very particular about the people we welcome into the Paws at Peace family, choosing team members who are compassionate, dependable and genuinely understand the importance of the work we do.

At Paws at Peace, we believe families deserve to feel supported when saying goodbye to a beloved pet. Our role is to care for your pet, guide you through the process and take care of the practical details, giving you the space to focus on what matters most — being with your loved one.

After more than nine years, we remain proud of the small team we have built and, above all, of the trust families place in us every day.
