I cannot recommend a better service then what Dr Amy had provided us with today. A caring, kind & compassionate soul she is. Saying goodbye to our family dog & best friend was extremely difficult, the memories will always be there and the hurt will always linger, especially afterward. Amy is such a beautiful individual, so genuine at heart. I cannot recommend a better send off, or an individual, to help with a beloved family pet. Bless your heart & soul Amy. Thank You 🙏

Our 16 year old Cavalier X, Sasha, was diagnosed with advanced Stage 3 kidney disease and went downhill very quickly. I made contact with Dr Amy, who from my first contact was a listening ear and caring heart. She came to our home and spoke with my husband and I and our cat and other dog. Her care of Sasha in her final moments was beautiful and peaceful. So much understanding, empathy & compassion. It has taken me a while to write this post, but we are grateful for Dr Amy and the tough job that she has. Thank you.

On such a sad day, Amy was so kind and caring. Amy made the process seem very peaceful. Amy was very reassuring that we were doing the best thing for our gorgeous 17 year old Westie called Jack. Thank you Amy!

I don’t have the words to describe how thankful I am to Amy for being there to help us say goodbye to our beautiful sassy lady, gal pal, hefty beast, Pixie. Amy is an incredible professional. She knew exactly how to support Pixie and Pixie’s loved ones through every moment. She anticipated all of our needs. Amy was sensitive, empathic, amazingly kind and just provided a really calming presence. I could not recommend her enough to anyone that has to experience the heartbreak of saying goodbye to their furry friend.

Dr Amy was wonderful. Kind, compassionate and patient, she gave us the opportunity to say goodbye to our girl in a warm loving environment as peacefully as possible. The pawprint went above and beyond what was expected and gave us another beautiful way to remember her by. Thanks so much Amy.

Amy, thank you so much for the beautiful send off you gave our beloved Chiquita. From the moment I called you to discuss options for Chiquita, to the care and tenderness you showed us through to the end, I can't thank you enough!!! You truly are an Earth Angel.

I can't thank Amy enough for the service she provided not just to Ty but to myself and my partner. It made a difficult process so much easier and the care that was shown won't be forgotten. Thanks again.

Thanks so much Dr Amy, I was very lucky to have you come out so quickly and that you didn't have another client at the time, as I know your calendar fills up quickly. I don't know any other of this type of service which responds so quickly and was able to accommodate my pain and indecision on this. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have been there for her passing and I know in my heart that she had every moment of life she could have had but with a peaceful passing. Thank you.

Amy was professional, kind and compassionate in her care for our beautiful boy and our family. At such a heartbreaking time we could not have asked for better. Amy provides such a wonderful service to allow people to say goodbye to their beautiful pets in such a calm and loving environment.

We are so grateful to Dr Amy. She helped us say goodbye to our little boy at home, where he was comfortable and not stressed, and surrounded by all of us who he loved the most. Dr Amy was so gentle and loving, and explained what was going to happen so clearly, and it helped to make a very difficult process just that little bit easier to deal with. We honestly couldn't have asked for more. Would highly recommend Amy for anyone who is having to go through this difficult process.

Dr Amy helped us to deliver our last act of love to our handsome first born Chico. A painful and heartbreaking moment was cushioned by her kindness and genuine care for us and our little man. I was able to hold my good boy as he passed in his home. A thousand thank yous Dr Amy.

Recently I had to say goodbye to my beautiful sidekick Diva. I rang Amy on a Sunday morning, she came out within an hour, she was amazingly professional, respectful and comforting at a difficult time. Can’t speak highly enough of her service, she really goes above and beyond.

At the worst moment in my life, Dr Amy was brilliant. She gives so much support and compassion in her occupational role. Amy was supportive, informative, gentle, kind and knew exactly what we were all going through. She demonstrated the utmost respect through the entire process and for this I can not thank her enough. I couldn't have wished for a more peaceful way for our beloved boy to go. I am forever grateful that I got to hold him, at home where he felt safe, secure and LOVED. From the bottom of my broken heart, thank you Amy ❤
If you find that euthanasia is a service that you require I would very strongly recommend Dr Amy, she will look after you and your pet.

I am so glad I called Dr Amy to help our old boy Eddie pass on. Dr Amy was punctual, highly professional and sensitive. She gently talked us through the process, helped us make Eddie very comfortable and he passed on peacefully in our arms. Thank you so much, I don't know what we would have done if we had to take him to a cold scary vet. This was the best possible way for him to go.

On Sunday 26 April we were devastated to find out our 14 year old Italian Greyhound Marco had a tumour which had ruptured. He hid it from us so well until he couldn’t anymore. He was in an Emergency Hospital and though the outcome was painful and final, I did not want our boy to pass there. I called Amy in the afternoon and we arranged to pick up Marco and Amy arrived promptly at 8pm. Her professionalism, empathy, kindness and compassion was amazing. She explained the process thoroughly and I knew she understood what we were going through and the decision we had to make. She gave us all the time and privacy we needed to say goodbye. Thank you Amy for giving our beautiful boy such a dignified farewell. He is terribly missed and our hearts are broken. But knowing he went peacefully and having you in our presence helped. Bless you Amy xxx

We would like to thank Amy for the compassionate dignified and caring way she treated our most loved little man in his final moments . Her calmness and ability to guide us through this highly emotional time ensured we took the time needed to focus on our final farewells which has given us lasting memories that will never be forgotten. Her professionalism and understanding from the first time we enquired about her services until Mango's ashes were returned with his paw print, were beyond question and we can’t recommend her highly enough. Thank you again Dr Amy.

Thank you for helping to make a very difficult time that much easier. Dr Amy was able to explain to us what was happening to our poor 14 year old boy's heart, and what the progression of his end-stage heart disease would entail for him. This really helped to assure me that we were making the right choice for him, which was something I had struggled with immensely. We knew when he was diagnosed with CHF two years ago that we would one day be faced with this choice, and I knew the whole time that I wouldn't want his last moments to be in a vet clinic. I am so, so grateful that Dr Amy's service meant that he was able to pass at home, surrounded by his most favourite people and laying atop his favourite cushion. Thank you, Dr Amy. From the very bottom of our hearts.

Sadly we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize our cat. Initially we were taking her to her local vet, but a friend recommended home euthanasia. For the comfort of our cat we thought we would give it a try. I'm so glad we did. Dr Amy from Paws at Peace made the experience as best as it could have been. If you're faced with the unfortunate decision to euthanize your loved pet, I strongly recommend calling Dr Amy.

On Monday April 28 our precious Aussie shepherd Murphy took a turn for the worse and a decision was made to call Paws at Peace. Dr Amy was amazing, filled with plenty of experience, knowledge and much love and compassion for animals, she walked us through the process of home pet euthanasia assuring us along the way that our decision was the right one for Murphy and we know it was. He slipped away peacefully in our home with Mika in attendance, my partner and my son. He is at rest in a peaceful place now. At 15½ years of age he has enjoyed a fabulous life filled with lots of experiences and very much well deserved love. Murphy has been a wonderful companion to my two sons, myself and his half sister Mika. She is missing him dreadfully. She has never been on her own before. but I'm sure she will settle down. Thank you Dr Amy for your friendly attitude, your compassion and respect during the process; you were just lovely. Thank you so much for your reassurance.

Saying goodbye to my big snuggle puss Mia was one of the most difficult decisions I have had to make but Dr Amy Jeffreys helped make it so much easier at home. I was a mess but Amy was so very caring and professional helping me cope and making sure the final moments for my darling old girl were stress free. She went peacefully in my arms and I couldn't have asked for a more dignified and beautiful way to farewell my precious, constant companion of 18 years. I am heartbroken but my beautiful girl is pain free. Thank you so much Amy and Paws At Peace

Our dog Zanzi was suffering from cancer and had a big downfall in the early hours of the morning. We called Dr Amy and she was at our home within an hour. I can’t recommend her highly enough. She was very professional, immediately gave our dog pain relief so he wasn’t in any pain, gave us as much time as we wanted for our last time with our dog before he went over the rainbow bridge. We had him privately cremated and he was returned to us by Amy within a few days. Very highly recommend Amy. Thank you again for all you have done during that heartbreaking time.

Amy was so empathetic, caring and professional. She talked us through each stage and what to expect and kept checking in at each stage to see if we needed more time .She made the passing of our beautiful boy as loving, comforting and gentle as possible. It takes a special person in a job like this to not just have the medical skills and background, but to show genuine care and empathy in their work, and just sit back in the environment and make u feel comfortable to just be sad- but also to feel confident and comfortable with the process as she lead it . thanks so much Amy x

Amy was absolutely wonderful to my dear little girl Willow and I. The compassion and empathy she showed when caring for Willow was absolutely heartwarming and it really helped me through a very difficult time. Honestly, I will never forget Amy or the care and dignity she gave Willow in her final moments. Thank you so much Amy. You will always have a very special place in my heart.

I highly recommend Amy for her compassion towards my fur baby, understanding and keeping me informed at all times.

On Sunday morning, we were able to say goodbye to our dear cat, Charlie bear, in the comfort of my lap, sitting in one of his favourite spots, because of Amy. We told him how much we all love him and how wonderful he is and how much we would miss him everyday, and then Amy helped him fall asleep in our arms for the last time. We cuddled and patted him until the end and after. Over the weekend, Charlie had stopped eating and drinking and could no longer walk in his last few hours, so we are so glad we could keep him near to us, in a place he knew, at home, until the very end. Amy was so comforting and understanding throughout one of the hardest things we have ever been through. Thank you, Amy, for making Charlie’s passing as special as it could be. See you on the other side little buddy.

I highly recommend the services of Dr Amy from paws@peace. Her compassion, understanding and professionalism was greatly appreciated by our family at a time in need with our beloved dog who had taken a turn for the worse. Dr Amy’s service went above and beyond what we had expected for such a difficult time. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to be there for us and our poor boy Skipper.

Amy is an Angel. I sensed that my beautiful boy “Bubbles” was unwell and had visited the Vet many times over the past 6 months. Each visit resulted in the same result. “He is fine, we can’t find anything wrong”. On New Years Day 2020 (early in the morning), I knew he was not ok and it was time to let him go over the rainbow bridge. I called Amy in tears and although it was supposed to be her day off she came to me anyway. She stayed with me as long as I needed before we started so I could have a little more time with my boy. When I was ready she gave him a sedative and he slipped into “bliss”! He seriously just cuddled up on my arm like he normally would. When it was time we moved to his favourite place on the couch with him on his favourite blanket, me patting him just as if he was asleep. When we were ready Amy put in the catheter (didn’t work the first time) and in a few moments Bubbles drifted away. There was no distress for either of us and so much more peaceful than it would have been if I needed to take him outside the home. Amy was considerate, caring, compassionate and just an all round wonderful person to have with me and Bubbles during his last moments. Having such a caring Vet who was willing to go above and beyond was so appreciated by me. I would recommend (and have recommended) Amy as the better alternative if you have made the decision of euthanasia. You as an owner are in good hands and so is your companion pet. The aftercare was seamless even though it was a “difficult” time of the year. My Bubbles is now home and placed in his favourite spot. Thank you Amy for all you did for me and for Bubbles. You really are a unique individual and I think you have found your calling. You help people as well as animals with what you do. Paws really are At Peace with you!!

We were given Dr Amy's number and called in an emergency situation. Dr Amy's compassion and care towards our family and our beautiful Daphne (13½ year old) made such a sad time for us that more bearable. I would highly recommend using Paws at Peace. It takes a very special person to do what she does. Thank you. Tina, Adam, Ruby and Audrey

Saying goodbye to a loved one is one of the hardest things to do in life. Amy was like an angel sent from heaven for us, I couldn’t have put my greatest friend in better hands. She made the experience so beautiful in such a tough moment of our lives. She made everything very comfortable and nurtured us through the experience. She made all the arrangements so easy for us and let us grieve for our loved one. We couldn’t have got through this without you Amy, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We had to say goodbye to our beloved dog Oscar last week. When he suddenly took a major downhill turn on the weekend of 16th November, I searched the internet and found Amy. She answered her phone on a Sunday (although I didn't expect her to), and was available on the Monday evening to help us. Amy is warm, caring, professional and respectful. Oscar passed very peacefully in his own home, surrounded by his family. I would highly recommend entrusting Amy with the privilege of helping your fur-babies transition. She will give them the care and service they deserve. Thank you Amy x

Dr Amy was so kind and empathetic on the phone when I called her last minute to come help us put our 16 year old golden retriever to sleep. It was a decision that had to be made quickly as he was sick and she was able to come on the same day. She was able to take him with her afterwards and organised all the details of the cremation. She then sent us a beautiful card with an ink print of his paw. We were so lucky to have found someone who was available so quickly and that also understood what we were going through. I am forever grateful for all of her help and highly recommend her to anyone who would like to give their pet a nice passing at home.

Amy was amazing - she helped my family through this extremely difficult time. We could not have asked for a more caring, understanding person. Thank you again.

Dr Amy was amazing. Our beloved 14 year old family retriever / Labrador was put to rest in our arms but it was the comfort, follow up and genuine care that Amy showed that helped our children and us deal with the loss. Forever grateful Dr. Amy

Dr Amy came to our home and treated my darling old girl Sadie (14.5 yro) with the utmost respect and care she could possibly give to a deeply loved fur baby. I would 100% recommend Amy to everyone that cares about how their baby is treated and wants a humane caring way to have your baby's suffering ended. Amy was very professional in her job and also comforts you in a way you need to be comforted at the time with a big hug and kind words. Paws at peace is wonderful and I am so so glad I found Amy when I did. Thanks Amy for being so great. Tremendously highly recommended.

Amy was an angel who came just at the right time. Our beautiful girl Mariah was made to feel so at peace and so were we. We can't thank her enough. xxx

We recently had to put our elderly greyhound to sleep and Dr Amy was absolutely fantastic - I can't recommend her enough. After inquiring about her service over the phone she talked me through the options and answered all my questions which really put my mind at ease. Knowing that we could call her at any time was a huge relief. We eventually decided to book in a time for Amy to come around and euthanise our girl and it was the most peaceful and lovely send off I could have hoped for. After previously putting pets to sleep at the vet and finding it very distressing, this was the polar opposite and I am so grateful for that.
We ended up deciding to cremate our girl and then Dr Amy returned her ashes to us about a week later. Not only does Amy provide a crucial service for pet owners in a time of need she also provided so much comfort and joy by talking to us about our dog and asking questions which helped us to relive the happy memories before we said goodbye in the comfort of our own home. This service is perfect for those who want to give their pets a calm, loving and relaxed send off in a familiar environment.

It was so comforting to know we could say goodbye to our old girl on her bed, in her home, surrounded by her people. Amy was so incredibly supportive and caring through the whole process. Giving us all the time we needed to grieve our loss. We couldn't have considered doing this any other way. Thank you once again Amy. You're an angel.

On May 10th I made the difficult decision to put my best friend to sleep. My beloved 7 year old greyhound Scout had been diagnosed with osteosarcoma and then broke her leg at the site of the cancer. Her suffering was so great that I knew I had to make her pain go away. I wanted a vet to come to my home and I'm so thankful that I found Dr Amy. From the initial phone call, to the visit itself, to the follow up delivery of Scout's ashes, Dr Amy was an angel. Compassionate, empathetic, gentle and kind. If you are ever in the horrible place I found myself in, do not hesitate to call this amazing young woman. Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Amy's services highly enough. She was able to turn a distressing and difficult time into a cherished memory. Amy was very responsive prior to and after the appointment. She is professional, calm and caring during the entire process. Our family, including my two young daughters, were able to be involved and Amy was very accommodating of their needs, offering gentle reassurance. We are so grateful to Amy for providing us with the opportunity to be with our beloved dog Chilli as she passed away, surrounded by those she loved and those who loved her. A very sad, but beautiful memory. Thank you Dr Amy.

Saying goodbye to my 15yo goldie, Molly was always going to be one of the hardest things. Dr Amy came to our home and cared for me as much as Molly. We were able to have a beautiful goodbye and she was able to just go to to sleep in her bed...

Last December into January my beautiful rescue dog Odette began exhibiting strange behaviours. When we discovered she had an inoperable growth in her brain, I began to prepare myself for the inevitable and yet impossible task of saying goodbye to her and helping her to pass into the next world in as much peace as possible.
There were two issues in my mind when thinking about this. Firstly, Odi was never a huge fan of the car and secondly she was never a fan of the vet. The last thing I wanted was for her last moments to be full of stress and panic. This is where Amy and paws at peace came in. In speaking to Amy on the phone, she sounded lovely. She would come out at midnight if needed. This for me showed her true care and love for the animals she deals with. When the moment came, true to what she had said, Amy did end up coming out close to midnight to help us say goodbye to odi. She made one of the hardest moments of my life so far also supremely peaceful. Odi passed in complete peace with no pain or stress. Surrounded by people who loved her dearly. It was exactly what I wanted and what she deserved after giving so much joy to me over time with her.
Once she was gone, Amy put odi comfortably into the back of her car, covering her with blankets, always treating her with the utmost love and respect, took her away, organised cremation and then dropped off the ashes when they were ready. A wonderful service giving unconditional love to those who give us their complete undying unconditional love while they are here with us. I highly recommend Amy and Paws at Peace for anyone at the same stressful and painful juncture. It makes such a difficult time that little bit easier and that means the world to us. Thank you Amy. Matthew, Odette in spirit, the whole Charles family and everyone who experienced any of the boundless love Odi had to give.

Even though we knew our little 14 year old Maltese x Westie needed to take her final journey, there were still good byes and tears along the path to the decision. We spent time with her on her last morning, fed her her favorite chicken, walked in the park (as much as she could) and just loved her. Amy came to our home and was really lovely. We were asked where we would like to have Sassy - in her basket or favorite place. It felt right for her to go to sleep in my arms being patted etc so that’s what happened. A deep sleep where she felt as though her body just softened and melted in to me. When we were ready, Amy checked in and put sassy finally to rest. It was our decision from there as to whether we buried her at home or had her cremated etc, all of which Amy had pre advised me on. Highly recommend pawsatpeace and Amy should you find yourself in this situation.

I am a vet working in Melbourne and can wholeheartedly say that Dr Amy is incredible. Whenever my clients ask for home euthanasia recommendations she is ALWAYS my first port of call. She is such a beautiful and understanding soul and an incredible vet. I know that when the time comes for own furbaby to cross the rainbow bridge I will be calling on Dr Amy.

Georgia, Cookie and I (extended family , paws and all) want to thank you for your gentle nature and professional care . Your genuine compassion was obvious and we thank you eternally for being present with My sons final breath, he/we were all at ease. Your kind words and demina shone through with the lovely hand written card Georgia and I received when you brought us our sons ashes. Thank you.

My beloved 15yo Burmese boy Leo was diagnosed with aggressive carcinoma about 8 weeks ago. Since diagnosis Leo hated his visits to the vet and was always very distressed by the examinations. The vet suggested, when the time came, it would be much kinder to have Leo euthanised at home. They gave me Dr Amy's contacts.
On Leo's last day he was very comfortable and happy in his favourite spot, his electric blanket on my bed. When Dr Amy arrived she knelt by the bed and Leo immediately got up and gave her the biggest smooches! It was as though he knew her and knew she was going to help him. Dr Amy explained the procedure to me and gave Leo a sedative so he remained extremely calm. Leo slipped away so very peacefully and quietly. He felt so warm and so soft. Dr Amy was incredibly kind and compassionate. I'm so glad Leo was at home. Thankyou so much Dr Amy. X

Dr Amy is an angel. Collingwood Emergency Clinic recommended 'Paws at Peace' after our beautiful female boxer, Phoebe, had suddenly and most unexpectedly been diagnosed with tumors and no positive outcome. The minute I opened the door and saw Dr Amy I was comforted at this difficult time. Phoebe affectionately gazed into Dr Amy's eyes, listening to her softly spoken words.
Dr Amy is so caring and compassionate and gave the time needed to say goodbye to our sweet Phoebe who was resting on her favourite bed before being helped with her forever sleep. A few weeks later, Phoebe's dear brother, Moseley, who was unwell for many months, sadly joined his sister in doggy heaven. Dr Amy returned to assure his peaceful journey and organized their combined ashes in a beautiful wooden box.
We miss them and their wonderful personalities very much. Thank you Dr Amy for all your caring and kindness.
